In Texas, the Newton County Public Hunting is the largest area where you can hunt with an area of 25,000 acres. It is located in Unit 122 in the eastern area of Texas. There are seven wildlife management areas located along the four counties that offer public hunting in West Virginia. The largest is the 18,000-acre Tug Fork Wildlife Management Area. Next are the 17,000-acre RD Bradley WMA and the 13,000-acre Laurel Lake WMA. The remaining hunting areas span less than 10,000 acres. Georgia is another great place for bow hunting. It has a total of more than 41,000 acres of deer hunting are that are open only to bow hunters. Georgia has 27 wildlife management areas that allow for hunting.
