Do I Need an Archery Plunger

Do I Need an Archery Plunger First and foremost, what is an archery plunger? You may have heard of it referenced to as a “cushion” or a “button” by other shooters out there. The archery bow plunger is used by recurve bow shooters, and in some cases compound bowyers who shoot “fingers.” When you shoot an arrow, it flexes. This device helps to absorb some of that flex so that your arrows don't go hard to the left of to the right. You will need these archery accessories to get your bow tuned properly. The flex is inevitable and having a plunger will help you improve your accuracy. You can adjust the tension on your button so that it is a custom fit for your bow. If you plan on shooting competitively, in tournaments, or you just want the best chance at success I would recommend one of these items. Archers just starting their journey are okay getting an entry level plunger. You can fine tune your skills and by the time the plunger is worn out, you will be able to get a more advanced version.. The entry level versions are going to run you anywhere in the $40-60 range, while premium models will cost you anywhere between $100 and $175. The entry level models might need to be tightened down after every few shots, but they will get the job done. The more expensive models will have better build quality and offer micro adjustability. If you are shooting well without an archery bow plunger, then there is no need to get another accessory. A good group, is what you need in this sport. If you are looking to improve your accuracy however, I can assure you that a button will greatly improve your performance.
