Other folks out there are simply looking for the best crossbow that fits their needs and their body structure. Shooters out there interested in a light, easy to shoot and use recurve crossbow, should take a look at the Excalibur Matrix Sapphire. [caption id="attachment_5939" align="alignright" width="250"]Excalibur Matrix Sapphire Excalibur Matrix Sapphire[/caption] The Excalibur Matrix Sapphire is a recurve crossbow that was specially designed for smaller-framed individuals. Youth, women, and men alike can all utilize this bow as it was designed with a low 200 pound draw weight and has a short ten inch powerstroke. This bow is also designed to accept a cocking assistant device if the shooter wanted to make drawing the bow that much easier. This would be a great crossbow for someone who doesn't necessarily want a big heavy drawing crossbow, and wants to comfortably operate the crossbow on their own. Speaking of comfort, the stock design of the Sapphire is another aspect of the bow shooters will appreciate. The thumbgrip stock not only allows shooters comfort when shooting, but also is lightweight. When it is all told this bow weighs in at a scant five and a half pounds. A five and a half pound crossbow is about as light as you can get, and still get the performance you demand in the field. Due to the lighter draw weight on the Excalibur Matrix Sapphire it will not be hitting some of the higher speeds of other Excalibur models. The Sapphire clocks in at 305 fps which is definitely respectable considering the other specs of the bow. This bow should be capable of getting the job done at yardages of 40 yards and less in the hunting realm, and would be more than enough to take down your average hunting quarry. The Excalibur Matrix Sapphire also has all the extras to make the package deal enticing. Mounted with the Excalibur Tact-Zone scope, a $200 in itself, you'll have the satisfaction of having great optics standard with this recurve crossbow. The Tact-Zone scope has variable zoom from 2.5X to 6X magnification allowing for all the control a shooter needs in any circumstances. All told the Excalibur Matrix Sapphire is a great recurve crossbow for anyone looking for a lightweight, light draw, quality crossbow. You'll not only get a great bow, but you'll get the quality and reliability that comes standard on every Excalibur crossbow. NEXT: NEW CROSSBOWS OF 2016: BARNETT DROPTINE
