With the release of the new crossbows of 2016, many people will be taking a hard look at the TenPoint Titan SS.

The Titan SS is slightly modified from the other Titan models of the past, but largely remains true to its roots. In the past the Titan series has been one of TenPoint's most popular crossbows, and look for that trend to continue with the SS. The Titan SS shoots at speeds up to 360 feet per second. 360 fps is five feet per second faster than older models. TenPoint designers were able to achieve these faster speeds while keeping the same power stroke distance of 12.6 inches. In addition they actually shortened the overall bow length. The cam system on this compound crossbow makes all this achievable from a 175 pound draw weight. Speaking of bow length, the TenPoint Titan SS measures in at a reasonable 35 inches in overall length and 17.5 inches of width. Slenderness like that could pay big dividends in the spring when that big tom comes waltzing by, or in a tree that doesn't offer much ability to move. The Titan SS weighs in at 6 pounds 8 ounces. This light weight makes it comfortable enough to pack around with you on and carry around all day if need be. High quality extras on this bow also make it an attractive model from TenPoint. The TenPoint Titan SS comes standard with the TenPoint Pro-View scope which retails from $200. This scope has three crosshairs that shooters can adjust to red or green color display. This scope can also adjust how bright the display is. Any avid hunter knows the importance of having bright sight displays in the last few minutes of the hunt. The Pro-View will add that advantage. Another extra on this bow shooters are sure to love is the patented ACUdraw or ACUdraw 50 cocking technology. When you order your crossbow you can choose between either system. Both lend a helping hand in getting your crossbow cocked. Both systems are integrated into the stock so you won't have to worry about forgetting your cocking device when you head out to the field on your next hunt. The TenPoint Titan SS is a nicely balanced compound crossbow that offers a smooth blend to shooters. It isn't the fastest crossbow on the market, or the lightest, or the most expensive. However, the Titan SS is the newest model in the best selling lineup of Titan bows since 2000. If you are looking for an all around proven and solid crossbow, the TenPoint Titan SS might be the bow for you. NEXT: NEW CROSSBOWS OF 2016; THE BARNETT VENGEANCE 2
